Andrej Skenderski

I work across user interfaces, backend services, and the workflows that connect them. My experience spans healthcare systems, digital signing, and document management. At v3rtical, I am the technical lead for Reguvera, with a focus on user experience and using AI to streamline customer workflows.

Software engineering foundations

I began studying at the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering in Skopje in 2018. Alongside my studies, I moved into full-stack software development, building applications that connect user interfaces with business logic and data. I completed my bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering and Information Technologies in December 2024, with a thesis on software for efficient management of hospitality businesses.

Healthcare systems and clinical workflows

My professional career began with a web-development internship in October 2021, building full-stack applications using Kotlin, Spring Boot, Angular, and PostgreSQL. Starting 2022, I progressed to a full-time software engineering role.

I developed specialised healthcare software, supporting cardiology services at the University Clinic of Cardiology in North Macedonia and breast screening for healthcare providers in New Zealand. In these earlier roles, my work focused on connecting patient journeys with clinical processes and the information healthcare teams need to deliver care.

I helped connect clinical information, medical imaging, and administrative workflows across the systems used in everyday operations. This work combined software development and integration with attention to how healthcare teams access and use information, supported by automated testing to improve reliability.

Digital signing and document workflows

In October 2023, I moved into developing software for secure digital signing and document management. My work connected the steps people take to manage and sign documents with the services, access controls, and administrative processes behind them.

I worked across user interfaces and supporting services to make these capabilities work together as a coherent product. This included bringing consistency to interfaces, integrating services, and improving the reliability and maintainability of existing applications. Alongside development, I documented technical decisions and mentored junior engineers, helping the team understand, maintain, and extend the software.

Leading Reguvera development at v3rtical

I joined v3rtical in May 2026 and am the technical lead for Reguvera. My focus is the user experience and the engineering that makes customer workflows simpler, connecting onboarding, verification, staff review, and signing into a coherent process.

This includes using AI to streamline the steps customers and staff need to complete. I work with visual models for reading and validating documents and System One decision models for fast, structured decisions without text generation. My role brings these capabilities into the product’s interfaces and workflows, keeping technical choices connected to the people using the system.

This work builds on my experience with clinical workflows, secure document services, and full-stack product development, and supports v3rtical’s work in finance and insurance.
